Exhibition Review: Clemens Kindling

It was with great pride when Christian Hohmann opened the exhibition with works of the late Clemens Kindling (1916-1992) who had been discovered by his parents and who had been a close family friend of the Hohmann family until his untimely passing in 1992. It had always been Kindling's wish to visit the United States but he and his wife who had traveled Europe extensively would not make it in person, however, his art has. Short of being sold out, the Clemens Kindling exhibition was one of the most successful exhibitions the gallery has staged since opening the location on El Paseo in 2009. The touching life story of this artist and the historical works we were able to offer found great recognition among our visitors and collectors. Over the summer, Christian secured a few more works from the Estate and they will be on display in the gallery as soon as they arrive. A catalog of the exhibition is available.
