The new exhibition “Vue d’en Haut” presents a large selection of fresh works by minimalist sculptor Pascal Pierme. The title, meaning “seen from above” refers to the way perceptions shift according to gradients of perspective.
Upon viewing an object, a bigger picture can emerge while making the leap from proximity to a more detached distance. Pierme’s sculptures, largely carved from wood, invite their audience into a warm relationship with this concept as they compel an initial close inspection and then reveal themselves more expansively when glimpsed from afar. The work becomes an evocation to reflect upon both intimacy and universality. The show evolves the artist’s oeuvre, furthering his investigations into balance, movement, and inquiry while combining contrasting elements into a metaphorical chemistry.
Hohmann is pleased to announce a new showroom in Palm Springs, California. Residing at 100 W. Tahquitz Way, Suite 110, in the same building as the Kimpton Hotel immediately across from the Palm Springs Art Museum, it will accentuate the existing Palm Desert gallery’s offerings by providing a non-retail, exhibition, event, and educational space for lovers of fine art.

There are two parking lots between the Kimpton Hotel and the Palm Springs Art Museum that offer free parking. The entrance to the gallery is in the pedestrian walkway between Tahquitz Canyon Way and Museum Way.
